Can one have dual boot with this kernel, guys?

Thanx!

OK, here is what some reports state (I haven't yet had the chance of testing it):

-CAMD Manager can't restart CCcam after it stops working

-sound on some HD channels is breaking up ($ l y UK)

-WLAN -> green screen

-skin change needs a full restart at the back

Which means that the rest is OK? That'd be a good start for SPAZE if that is all the bugs to sort out... ;) :D

Any more bugs?

apperantly a line is missing in the bootup file causing the Wlan to fail:

Code: Select everything
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.22.19-25-the-ripper/extra/rt61.ko

add too
/etc/init.d/bootup

then reboot

@ MACH5

I think that your simple procedures doesn't match to get a total solution, because I tried it & still got a green screen while setting up Wlan.
BUT..... when I tried to get the procedures given by Spaze Team to fix Wlan on v1.1..... Everything was done succeeded.
Anyhow I am attaching the file Wlan fix given by them (by the way it works only with premium & premium+)

Don't forget to follow all instructions in the text file attached

Good luck to all of you :respect-050:

2 whole days and no other updates? Is this a stable release then? I normally wait a few days before attempting an upgrade. Looks like might be worth a punt.

I'm waiting for SPAZE to make the best possible compilation of kernel, drivers etc. + their own plugins and lots of debugging, testing and generally speaking - hard work...

Then, something nice happens... ;) :) :D

It seems it's not gonna be, from what I read over on their forum... if I understood correctly...

Various problems, including holidays...

SPAZE Fix is usable, though! ;)

With Dual Boot - livable... :)

With the IPK package that contains an updates for the drivers the SpaZe guy's have put out for RTI 1.2 fixed my Sound problems.
The drivers are ones supplied by the RTI team.
Now for me RTI 1.2 is working great.
But must admit this is a stepping stone for me while awaiting the next SPAZE release.

Don't use that link. You can't download the s/w until you fill out a survey and subscribe to a dodgy *** site which will then charge you for receiving unwanted text messages.

Sadly, Darkmantk's version was withdrawn, awaiting the new RTi version:

RTi Core 1.2 MOD by Darkmantk (AZBOXHD.es)
================================= =====

Changelog:

- Latest Drivers
- DVI Fix
- WLan Fix (premium and premium+)
- Streaming Fix
- MediaCenter 0.3.1
- RTi Software Installer
- CAMD Manager FIX
- Videomode Auto changed to Full Screen
- Changes in shoutdown menu
- NetworkBrowser installed (Working in some models)
- Keymap by pingflood in skin AzConcinnity-HD (Default)
- CCcam 2.1.2 installed
- MyTube Player 19/08/11
- azExplorer
- ipkg build tools
- Tech******Downloader
- Channellist (DTT Spain, Astra 19.2E, Hotbird 13E)

Well as promised, I brought my full backup with everything I have I got to the RTi 1.2

I recommend that you back up the folder / etc/enigma2 as it is where you store the configuration settings and channel lists. And then if you want to put them in the backup.

Bring CCcam installed as standard, but is only configured for Techsat.

Some things I could not test because my deco is Elite model, but are caught GIT files for example if the WLAN operates in the GIT version should work fine here too.

The image has nothing to do with Spaz and unique plugin does not bring any of that image, we're working on it but when the time comes that I see the light of the RTi fixing things.

I modified the manual that created the RTi to explain how to install the AzUP Firm, now it will not leave the ext4 option because the current kernel does not support that format.
