Hi Guys,
I bought a spiderbox from **** with 11 months gift left on it, so it arrives and i set it up, but the user who sold me it forgot to post the remote, but am kl with that. But when i went to plug it in and switch through the channels with the buttons on the box am getting no channels on what so ever. It is connected with the ethernet cable and the sky coax cable is connected into the sat in bit, but still nothing. some channels same scrambled and others just dont show.
Any ideas would be great
Thanks for your time
John

chances are its on the wrong satellite
suggest you install a new channel list from a usb stick , which you will need the remote in order to do , then select 28 east and test
you wont get any sly scrambled channels on it , just freesat from 28 east

So i have just paid £60 for a box that just does freesat channels???
You will need to put a UK card into the box to get UK channels.
This box is realy to be used with bigger motorised dish to get what it does. There is only freesat at 28e.
Also there is no way it has 11months gift left Nevo has all but finished. it now service+and that has no set time limit at the momment
But £60 is very cheap if you have a spiderbox with what it can do when connected to the right dish
but the person i bought it from stated it had 11months left on it, so why wont it work??
Did the person who sold you the receiver, tell you it had 11 months left on Neuvoxstream ( Gift Channels ) or 11 months left on Sly Channels and if so, when you ask for the remote ask him/her for the Sly Sub Card as well, and as has previously been stated you will only get the FTA Channels on 28 east.

I would suggest you try and get hold of a remote and do some reading on the forum to see just what can be available before proceeding any further
