"Skew" means angle. LND skew refers to the angle the LNB is in the bracket. For motorised systems it should be set at "0"

yep or basically movin' or turning LNB ( LOW NOISE BLOCK ) about slightly east-west directions while lnb is in its holder attached to your dish ...LNB Skew can be critical for weak signals so very little moving can mean an awfull lot extra signal ,

but failing that a bigger dish or better gain LNB always works too .

with a motorised dish its almost essential to get lnb Skew correct and spot on so it focus properly to give you max quality of reception and signal .
for me i have always used my reference channel as n0va sport on 1w (Digi tv) 12643 v 27.500sr fec 3/4 ..i find that about the weakest of all and best of all to have my dish tracking beautifully .
hope that helps ,
