Hi Guys, Anyone know the frequency for the HD red Button channels currently showing the CL games? I have the SD channels at 12070 H in a bouquet, but I'd like to have the HD channels saved too!

Cheers,
GAH

It is some time since I did this, but this worked on a DM-500 before for the SD channels.

Scan in all channels on the satellite/provider and you will get the red buttion channels. But on a DM they are flagged as data so you won't see them at first in the channel list. Use dreambοx editor to change them from data to TV.

Hi Burnham,

Thanks for the reply. I have done this already to watch the SD channels at 12070H, and there are more at 10876V. I just need to know the correct frequency for the HD ones.

bear in mind that the bbc are swapping channels around and altering these red button ones , and reducing them I think as well , in order to clear out a transponder , to focus them more tightly on the uk , and to make sure they are all the same on all platfoms , also bbc parliament and some others are being moved too

I didnt think they had any HD red button channels ! unless you mean the sly ones

Hello GAH

As someone who has been here as long as me I should have remembered that you would have known the data to TV process. I can't find these channels listed on any of the usual sites, but I only did a quick search.

As you would know HD1 & HD2 aren't the answer as these show the scheduled games. For those who don't know the situation - Ѕky normally show one featured match on either HD1 or HD2, then show all the other matches (except the ITV live game which they can't show for contractual reasons) on their red button channels.

Are you certain the red button matches are in HD ? I have never taken notice of what they say when they advertise these matches.

As to solving the problem - all I can think of is to do a satellite scan when the CL games are on next.

Hi Burnham,

Thanks for the latest reply (I'm pretty sure I remember you from my Nokia D-Box days?). You are indeed 100% correct in what you say above. On match days, the remaining CL games not broadcast on normal channels are definitely broadcast in SD on 12070H. However, if you are watching on an HD channel, they say the remaining matches are available in HD via the Red Button, which implies there is another transponder showing the same games on 12070H, but in HD. The same scenario also applies when Football First is broadcast, when you have a choice of Premiership games to watch. They could of course be telling fibs, but it's that transponder I'm looking for!

Thanks again,
GAH

Yes, I was around in the Nokia days and I'm sure I benefited from your advice back then.

Good point about Football First. I will have a scan on Saturday and will report back if I pick up anything useful.

I checked Football First on Saturday and all I got was the SD channels. I did a full satellite scan twice whilst the six matches were being transmitted.

If you check Kingοfsat for their Ѕky UK listings you will see that they list all the SD Red Button channels. You can see them in 10876v (channel IDs 1381-1386 & 1481-1485) and 12070h (channel IDs 1391-1399 & 1471-1479) - all shown as SD channels.

The fact that I found no HD red button channels and that Kingοfsat lists no red button HD channels makes me suspect that the extra CL games are not in HD.

Hi Burnham

Sorry for the delay in replying, been working away from home for a few days.

Thanks for all your efforts to track down these elusive HD channels. The fact that you can't find them, and I couldn't either, possibly does mean that they don't exist. However, if you're watching SS1 HD on a Champions League night, the SKY comentator ALWAYS says you can watch the remaining games via the Red Button in HD!

Cheers,
GAH

There is another round of CL matches next Tuesday/Wednesday.

I will try to find out what I can then, but I might be travelling myself next week, if so I woud not be able to check in full.

I can now confirm that all the Ѕky red button channels are in SD only.

I checked when the last round of CL matches were on with a Ѕky+ HD box and ALL the matches were in SD - even the two matches that were in HD on HD1 & HD2 channels were in SD on the red button channels.

I also listened very carefully to the presenter and she made a point of NOT saying the red button channels were in HD (I mention this because you thought that the presenter DID say they were in HD).

Sorry for the delay in posting.

Hi Burnham,

Thanks for the detailed reply. As you mentioned, I was pretty sure they said Red button games were in HD, but I'll take your word for it!

Thanks again for all your efforts!
