Hi Russell1
The link just seems to allow you to download a program called iLivid and not the maps.

I have TomTom GO1000, and still have my old GO930.
The GO1000 is great as it has Live Traffic, and has never crashed or rebooted by itself unlike some older models do.
The only downside is you have to use official map sources as you can't add maps in same way as older models.
The GO1005 is same as GO1000 but with a 5-inch display

I don't think battering them against the steering wheel is the approved maintenance procedure :D
Mine is getting temperamental but it seems to be a weak internal battery. I find if I plug it in but don't turn it on for a few minutes, all is well.
Are their any new Western Europe maps?
Thanks in advance. nml
