Had an Elite and now(suddenly) I am the owner of a Premium.
Tried to read all about it but it is hard to find good info. Mucho flaming and stuff like that makes it hard to read !

So I need help, beeing a newbee - can´t even understand the remote really

Questions !

What is the best original FW
and the best E2 ?

Problems ? What is working and what is not ?

I just started this premium - what makes it premium compared to an Elit ?

Have this weekend (lucky me) to make it my decoder so I will gladly read Your tips. (I´ll ask the mods to remove all flaming)

BTW My Elite was killed while I was testing so I will go easy on this one.

Best original FW is RSI 0.9.000 ( all works timeshift-timers-recording ) well it actualy it's a modded original FW

Differende between Premium and Elite:

Elite wasn't suppost to be a combo receiver just single tuner, the Premium is

Elite is a combo. I think it even says on the box.

But Hugo told us he chose personally all the HW and he chose it because Sigma told him it can do the twin tuner thingy... And so they bought it and laboured a long time under that assumption, even informing us of their struggle to bring it to us...

Alas, at some point, they gave up, proclaimed their info and announcements null and void and figment of our imagination...

Never mind....

Premium Plus was put together and that one has a new motherboard with a more capable chipset. P+ is (a rather weak) twin tuner receiver (compared to the real competition, like ET9K or Vu+ Duo, for instance), unlike Elite and Premium (the latter was touted as Twin, no doubt but...). Apparently, P+, unlike the previous two models, can record one channel from a different TP than the one you are watching, obviously, using the second tuner, if you install it...

I have never seen P+ or its remote, sorry... That's as far as my info goes... But I suspect that different sections are at play: Sat TV, then Video/Recording section separately... maybe...

Is it possible to set up a multiboot so as to be able to choose either Spaze or OFW.

Possible, possible... :D You just have to have a new kernel in DOM and then choose if it's gonna be DOM (E2) or USB device or HDD... Take out what you do not need... ;)

Speaking seriously, though, Pingflood is working on a plugin to make OFW a function of E2, if wanted... Chosen by remote, in that case - if and when the plugin starts working, 'course... ;)

I would be very interested if pingflood can do this as i want to use Multicas

Can you add another S2 tuner internally or USB tuner and will it work

OS have given up on that a long time ago...

I doubt The_Ripper will mess with it, trying to get it going, if Sigma have given up on it...

I hope I am wrong but...
