hiya all

i have ordered a 500s so my brother can watch tv
i want to know which image is best to use at the moment for downloading emu"s from the remote controll, i am in spain he is in uk and want to make it as simple as possible to update in future.
i will want to be able to download oscam or mgcamd cccam and settings for 28 east now and again
i do not mind if i have to put a extra url in as i will be setting box up but once its done i will send it over to uk and do not want to have to try and explain to him how to do ftp etc etc

i am not worried about addons etc just so he can watch 28 east

cheers all

Peter pan 2.3 - still has a download ota as far as I know .Nemesis has an addon extra for downloads and if you can put Glass utilty on it then all is available via that once installed. If he is watching 28e fta then no downloads will be needed. Not sure what you will need for the slycard since I have never used one but no emu will open them without a card. Someone will say which cam - probably Cccam - will run the card. Good luck - Brain

There's always the Eagle image from Darkman's site, v5 is the latest image but i'm still using the v4 image, didn't need to change really.
I'm using this with an original DM500s and blackbox 500s clone without any problem for a couple of years now.
A lot of images don't have a cam (cccam, mgcamd, etc) for download these days, but the Eagle images seem to have a comprehensive selection plus other addon's.
You could always ask Darkman for more details.

cheers guys.... yeah i will set him up with oscam i think or cccam, but am thinking there is not much support for cccam nowadays so oscam will more than likely be there in the future for updates
is the glass utility like the ferrari addon manager i use on my 800se ?

The DM500s Gemini 4.70 GSF Mod image includes CCcam 2.1.2 and its installed on first boot so you only need to re ammend cccam.cfg

If you want oscam, it's there in the Eagle image blue panel. Just download the latest panel regularly for updates - using the blue panel itself. Oscam+MGcamd is also available for those who want to use keys - oscam does not read a softcam or use keys.
