Sky Sport News HD Germany to launch free trial
German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland will make its sports news channel Sky Sport News HD freely available via cable and satellite in the first month after its launch on 1 December 2011.
Non-subscribers will thereby have the possibility to get an impression of the new channel, Sky announced in Munich.
Until 31 December 2011, more than 40 million TV viewers in Germany and Austria will be able to receive Sky Sport News HD in standard and high definition. From 1 January 2012, the channel will be only available to Sky customers as part of basic package "Sky Welt".
At last week's Medientage München 2011 conference Sky announced the launch date of the channel which will report about news from the world of sports 24 hours per day.
