Need some help please, Got a vu+ with a technomate gold lnb, switched on this morning and could only get a low signal of all channels using horizontal, vertical are fine. Would it be that the lnb is on its way out. ?

Probably, the same thing has happened to me, although it could be a loose connection with your receiver not being able to switch the polarity. Check the connections and if you have another receiver try that.

Got it sorted, water in the lnb, second in 16 months. Using an old one at the moment, just ordered an Inverto Black Ultra High-Gain.

How are you sealing it? Are you using a rubber boot or self amalgamating tape?

Was using rubber boot.

Check it's still in good order or maybe use both, just wrap some self amalgamating tape around to help avoid any water ingress, especially with Winter approaching.

You should also use compression fit 'F' connectors for the outside as these are water resistant and can help along with amalgi and the rubber boot as well
