Technomate 6900 motorised help needed

I have a Technomate 6900 Combo set up but havent updated for about 3 years as have been ill and not used. I need to get it updated etc, my son said he would do it, need information, Does he update the channels first before doing a software patch (usb) ??? or visa versa. Also where on this site is the patch software for this receiver ??? cant think of how i done this, also read that he is suppose to back up the channels, how do you do that ???? cant think how i done this , so long ago, any help would be most appreciated.:confused: Please anyone give an answer can they give easy understandable information on how to do instructions. Thanks.

seems to me that the technomate users still using it havent contributed to helping this new member !!

the technomate user SILENCE was almost DEAFENING

it never used to be like that , apart from those old and wise users have now migrated to other sections ;)
