Hi all

The other day i was watching footie as we do and suddenly no piccy, tried all the usual things but no go. I noticed that there was no signal on any channel, i tried to move the dish but it would not budge. Anyhow after factory resets and new patches still no signal, i tried to move the dish manually in motor settings and it just froze everytime requiring a reboot. So to sum it up is there anyone out there that knows what to try next?

I would backup the channel list , reflash with the recovery tool and image , factory reset and reflash with 10oct2011 firmware ( the latest ) , re-add the saved channel list and test it again

I would also try testing it on a sly dish too

Then it could have been a Power Surge that has knocked out your Spiderbox.

You could try taking the Top Off and have a look to see if you can spot any burnt out fuses or dry joints on the board, also depending on how long you have had the receiver, you may be able to return it to your Vendor for repair or replacement, but you would have to contact them first and find out if this would be possible.

if its NOT under warranty , take the lid off and reseat all the ribbon cables , especially the one shown in the pictures on this site on the lead from the psu to the mobo , as that can work loose or come off completely

as stated above , also carefully check for dry joints or bulging caps

Has the following been tried?
Either reset motor, or reflash spider doing factory reset as well.
Remember to back up everything.
Make sure usals is re entered if using usals.
