How is it possible to setup a DiSEqC 8/1 switch in spiderbox? Only know how to use my 4/1 switch today
But would like ex 5 or 6 satellites.

go into the sat setup and choose COMITTED 1 and choose UNCOMITTED 1 to 4 for the first 4 satellites ,

and then choose COMITTED 2 UNCOMITTED from 1 to 4 for the satellites 5 through to 8

so 1/1 , 1/2 , 1/3 and 1/4 for sats 1 to 4 ,

and 2/1 , 2/2 , 2/3 and 2/4 for sats 5 to 8

use diseq 1,1 and setup 16 lnbs, i have 10in1 diseqc here and works very well with Spiderbox :-) 10 lnb are not a problem here, have been testing with 16 lnbs to and have worked :-)
Just a mater of setting up the diseqc correctly and off you go

If you have a 4 way diseqc switch how can you get 5 or 6 more satellites with an 8 way switch I am sure 4 from 8 is 4 more or is an 8 way switch more than 8

If you have a 4 way diseqc switch how can you get 5 or 6 more satellites with an 8 way switch I am sure 4 from 8 is 4 more or is an 8 way switch more than 8

seems to me he intends to replace the 4 way with an 8 way , same as I did , and then it seems to me he wants to add 2 more lnb,s or dishes into the mix

my 8 way uses something like 5 lnb,s and a motorised feed from a twin lnb on the motor , so I am using a combination of fixed lnb,s and a motorised feed that delivers whatever the main dish is pointed at , making 6 feeds but more than a dozen satellites are involved

so I have to tell the spiderbox which COMITT and UNCOMMIT to use for each and every satellite , that is for fixed lnb , or motorised feed , as required

so the more you want the more complicated it gets ;)

I have to scratch my head a tad when setting it up , and a pen and paper always comes in handy

Why can they Not Bring a MOTOR Out that can do both Horizontal @ Vertical ? Just like my OLD [ OMNISAT ] Which Iam going to Replace Tommorrow ?? Hope i am not going to regret this!!!!!!:banghead:

Yes that is correct as you write echelon, Im using a 4way today and also have a 8way at home
But in the satellite search menu I only get options with
DiseqC Port
DiseqC Uncommit
No Comitted as you wrote, but doesnt matter? Correct setup in the satellite search menu with 1/1 1/2 and so on should work?

Diseq Port = Committed

Set up with port on 1 for all sats, and then uncomitted 1 - 8 depending on the sat
