Transponder power on Digitalb down on average about 20%. This should improve later weather conditions poor, thick cloud and light rain.

I was struggling too at that position , I had to change to diseqc v1.2 and add a new transponder and move left right until found , store , then scan again

this provided channels but signals are well down compared to before , never mind the boost we all expected , and as yet I dont get them in usals unless I actually move the position away from 16.0e and try matching this new position instead

so all hit and miss and not what I was expecting
( and the new transponders dont open in ethernet so I assume the spider team will have to replace their old with new )

16e is the worst of any saterllite for getting a signal ,, well for me it is...
the frq shown here seem a bit the same ,,

If you look at AtlanticBird 7 west the signal is the same as it was after the first days, 16 East is I believe the same satellite operator.

Beam should be in London 70-80 cm Dish ! Digitalb Transpoders are : in Bird A of Eutelsat W3C the Best Bird for Europe for Moment and for us in UK.

If this stay like this I think Eutelsat has misled Operators and all the World.

Just seen on another forum what appears to be a Eutelsat press release, and this bit stood out!


Pay-TV platforms and public and private broadcasters using W3C include SBB, Digitalb, TV Max, Tring and TV Romania that are addressing Central Europe via a high-power footprint optimised for the region. A second regional footprint centred over Madagascar and Indian Ocean islands is serving the Canal+ Overseas, Parabole Réunion and Orange platforms as well as France Télévisions to support digital switchover in Reunion Island and Mayotte.

Looks like a directional beam towards that region.

Which indicates there may be no more improvement for the UK region :(

I have tested almost every transponder in this thread using a spiderbox 9000 and a 1.1m dish near manchester with 0.2db inverto lnb and all are BOOMING in , typically 65% to 85%

tring sport , supersport , the film channels , tring , vh1 , top channel and top news , bang bang , all seem excellent here

not sure what anyone thinks they are missing yet , or if I have any missing 9 probably have )

usals is also working ok for me now as well as diseqc v1.2 , so excellent at the moment as far as I can tell

Still doing a Blind scan on my Spiderbox i had to start over again and Factory Reset 'cause it seemed like i reached limit on number of channls as it only reached 86 channls then couldnt scan in any more but after factory reset im already upto about 200 TV channls and only 50% done so far :D

that is probably one of the old transponders and not the new ones

suggest you check through this list as people are amending this thread and the digitalb thread as required

should be a full list in the other thread posted by aldo from william1 ( if you bother to actually look that is ;) )

if your dish is spot on you should have no problems with the 2 transponders I just posted

@ Keith ...King of sat is not correct ...old not updated info ...Echelon is infact 100% correct 10815H 27500 & 10804H 27500 do a manual scan ive noticed even some new DGA HD stuff ( Digialb HD ) on this New sat that i wasnt gettin b4 i know they still encrypted but there is always hope ??? ...not that it makes much difference still pretty much Tring ( my own card ) & DGA SD packages is all i can clear apart from some other albanian Fta channls ..i did however find a good FTA channl that was showing a pretty decent movie earlier this evening in English audio "Albania Screen" ( FTA ) was the name ..seemed pretty good not seen that 1 b4 ,
most channls upwards of 80% some above 90% ..blind scan gave me 434 TV channls quite a lot of power VU stuff aswell that is pretty useless to any ordainary sat hobbyist like myself i guess but still strong signals nonetheless .

you should pull in a fair few channls on W3C now Keith ?? ...if only PLTV wud go FTA now on 10e we'd all be laughing ...lol's !!!

but staying on Topic Signals are at last good now on 16e or 15.7e or thereabouts ..just hope this new sat dont need it's batteries charged anytime soon and dont have power failures like old sat at 16e it deffo wasnt running on Duracell batteries ..lol's !!
Anyhow all good dont think weather will cause any concern now with WC3 as signals are well improved all round it seems .
im sure a new channl list will come when things settle down over coming days on WC3 it looks a change for the better but i'll not speak too soon ..

just did a blind scan and pulled in 415 channels. signal v.good 80% quality 52-64% on all opening channels. down here in the sunny south east. gonna delete all uneccessary channels. job done. its been interesting following this thread and doing a bit of fiddling with the box. in a strange way i enjoy it when i need to do something to maintain my system. so thanks for all the inputs guys i do appreciate all the work thats done by members to keep everything up to date.
