Just flashed to new Spaze 2.0 and until then i was connecting wirelessly with RTi 1.3 - after flashing to new Spaze, the wireless module seems to of died. Signal strength is -121 dBm and encryption states Unsupported. Has anyone else had this and could anyone confirm if it is the module that has died.

Hi there Enzofielt!! Was worried that my box had turned into an unwanted FTA box - but hopefully the team will come up with a quick answer.

One question though Enzofielt, how come other users are not affected by this - only me??!

For sure you are not the only one, i send your crashlog to Spaze. I hope they find something to get this fixed also.
I gues you have tryed a reflash also, maybe something went bad the first time.
Most of time these are driver problems, from my experiance with the azbox is that every new install can fix problem or create problems.

Try rebooting the box a couple of times, after first install I could not not get the wi-fi working , rebooted router then box . After the second reboot I had Wi-fi.

Have you tried installing using jazup 2.3 ?

Will try jazup 2.3 today when the kids have gone to school!! Interestingly, went back to Spaze 1.0 late last night and wireless is now working! At least it's not my box - i won't have to throw it!
Never tried jazup - will download and look at it - is it as simple as azup?

Hello,
To use JaZup remove "ext4" option before flash !

just to give my experience. Came up with the same problem. no wifi -121 and encryption unsupported. changed encryption on router, channel, removed encryption nothing.
Finally what worked was this:
1. Shutdown azbox premium HD while I was in the wireless network configuration
2. Enabled Wired interface (was disabled).
3. Made default wireless.
Voila Wifi was up again.

zeini - it took me half an hour before it worked! unplug all power sources (including ext hdd if you have one - mine was a powered ext hdd) when on the wireless configuration screen. Plug back in, go back to wireless configuration and scan your wireless router - hey presto it should work!

Glad it helped you too. Its good to share succesfull actions soas to help others find easier solutions with our Aztrouble....
Got to mention that this image is very well done apart from these hicups so cudos to Spaze. Especially the media center is modded with a few very welcome goodies.

In Spaze 2.0.0 I can not wake uo WIFI with his tutorial.:001_07:
-Disable Wired interface from setup leave only active wireless
-Go to wireless configuration screnn and this time shutdown the box completely.
-After it boots to E2 again go to setup and reenable wired interface
-Make wireless default and chech you WLAN status again making sure all passwords and settings are correct
Should work. it did for me and a couple of my AzTrouble buddies here.

zeini, i tried it a few times experimenting and found that you had to keep it hard wired to your router and make sure you take out all power sources (this worked for me). It was very frustrating and i did try more than 5 times - so keep persisting!
