epg download time

mines taking over 1 hour to downlod using be/rytec:confused: anyone recomend a quicker one for uk please

just realised that if i turn my dish to 16 e i also get the epg of that sat and do not loose it when i return to 28e so thats probobly why

If you are talking about the EPG for the Digit alb channels. They have nothing to do with the download/rytec. They are automatically sent with the broadcasts

the download information from the epg net download has nothing to do with the actual epg received from the satellites themselves

i get varied results too using CROSSEPG - sometimes its quick to download sometimes it takes ages (not an hour tho)

just done a clean ( from switchoff/switchon ) 28e rytek epg d/l on my spider 9000 and it took 20 minutes to download

should be quicker , but as these epg are by third parties over the net its either put up with it or find a different third party provider

would be better if you could just populate the 28e epg on transponder 11778 V 27500 like on other boxes on a portal info channel

It's not going to help you but rytek 28e on the VU takes about 1 -2 mins max. :rolleyes:

i used the rytec file , but found, that after about 48 hours it just went back to now and next..
even with the menu- osd power set to off..

Done the Test on 28 East ? It Took [ 11 minutes ] , First [ 75% ] Took a Minute , The rest [ 10 minutes ] Fooking Learning something every day on this Forum:302:

well i timed this , it took me 45 mins to download uk Epg (Boring)
Never Again !!!

it seems much qucker with earlier patch i think.
