Spiderbox 9000 HD

Just ordered a second 9000 , this time from the sponsers [GW] and for a mate who wants to get into the sat scene .Mine bought last year from another well known forum is still going strong thanks to some updated firmware. Question , there will be no difference in terms of firmware/updates between the boxes ? We should all get the same channels regardless of when or where bought ?
The box bought today was alot cheaper and came with free postage in the bargain , thanks .
