Maybe you're right complaining,but is it sure that you were the first who activated its gift 10 months ago,or was it already activated 2 or more months earlier in the store you bought it?

have had mine now for about 2 years, so has been good value, but the way they have been turned off without prior notice is not very customer friendly

My spider box is far from knackered ...ive bought it maybbe 2 or 3 year ago one of the very first of 'em that came out infact ..still very usefull for Feedhunting ..still Reads my Sub card perfectly ..still plays all my movies via USB ..Still finds any FTA HD Feeds that i require to see ..still connects to my dmboxes for the obvious ..still has RF output for multi room option ..still got blindscan too ..dont think iver ever even needed to use Ethernet "gift" option but it sure still works nontheless ..so i mean What kinda silly useless comment OP was tryin to make is well beyond me ??
im sure in 3 or 4 years time same spider box will still have plenty of use and still work just fine and support is still there so for me it was probably the best stb and does exactly what it did back when i bought it originally .
So please dont start talking silly childish nonsense about something that you obviously have no idea whatsoever about ?
doubt you will have much success starting a flaming war about something so petty and childish that nobody else is obviously seems to have problems with ?

Thing is it's still a pretty good box without the gift, card slot and cam slots, home share and sea lion capability. It seems to be going back to how they originally wanted it. Where by you get 1 yr free with your purchase. At the end of the day it's a hobby here today gone tomorrow.

When a Spiderbox is first connected to Ethernet (Aka Service+) Server this could set the expiry date,
Maybe the spiderbox came pre loaded!

Hi Guys I have a 9000HD my channels had died a death too but wen i checked it said connected but all scrambled channels wouldn't clear so left it turned off for about 20 mins this may work leaving it off for less time but mine was off about 20 mins then turned it back on and all channels on 19.2 are working again so my be a case of leaving it turned off for bit

Had two spider's [both turned on by supplier]..both of them were bought at different time's,older one was used mainly for the gift but in the end a sea lion!!.. the newer one was never used untill the older one gave up the ghost.. so now your saying because i didn't use it[for the gift].. that's it?..It seem's this box is going like the diablo,dragon cam etc bring out a newer model and bam the older model is not quite as good as you thought it might be..[yeah i know still hd still has card slot still use a sea lion etc]..still in the end it did teach me a few thing's i didn't know a lot about before [so i did get something out of it]..think the next receiver will have to be future proof [dm protex etc]..just my opinion..
