Really cocked up this box! Can not find any support, maybe somebody can help??
Tried to change back to original firmware from E2. I think I overwritten the DOM by mistake and then disconnected before finished completely!!!
Do I need a new DOM? Can this be changed? Can I connect it to a PC and overwrite? Can I send the box off for repair? I get no reply from Opensat.
Any advice???

turn it off, and hold the right arrow (right silver button of circle) and turn it on, does it give u an IP address, if so, use JAZUP to put ori fw or e2 back on.
if not, try formatting a USB stick, and put on a patch.bin file and see if it gives u the option for update via USB.

Your router must also have DHCP switched ON and your ethernet must be connected from the router to the box.
After then test again.

If not "fried" - try this, following what Manik wrote:
use a crossover LAN cable-> directly connect AZ to PC;
use the progies attached to scan the IP range in which your PC is, in order to find your AZ HD;
if successful, do as usual, flashing the AZ...
Alternatively, you can do the scan of your network as it is now...
Good luck!

I managed to get ip address when connected directly to router.
I then unplug cable from router to and connect to pc, and try to connect with this ip addressthrough Jazup2.2 but I am getting timed out ensure ip address or password is correct (azbox)
What is the next stage with this now?

If you connect it to the router and get an IP address on VFD - why the heck are you unplugging it and plugging it into anything else?
You get a different address if you plug it into the PC, for crying out loud...
Just proceed with the IP address you get. If JAZUp isn't working, try AZUp.

I was under the impression I had to connect the pc (jazup) through the lan cable, which can not be done if the router is connected with this cable.
Am i wrong?

connect azbox to router and pc to router, then use the ip shown in Jazup or AZupd.
