Me again still trying to get used to my TM6902. done a scan on terrestial channels and it does not find all my freeveiw channels yet it is using the same cable as tv and that picks up all of them and the TM is fed before tv. Do these boxes have to be told whats out there and if so how or am i doing something wrong. All the best yorick

yorick, The TM, although a DTT receiver, is not technically a FREEVIEW receiver and as such will only scan and store terrestrial channels that are on air at the time of the scan. Thus, for example if you scan during daytime - it will show CBBC and CeeBeeBees whereas if you scan after seven it will show BBC3 & 4. Other channels that share streams will be similarly picked up depending on the time of day you carry out the scan.

Hope that clears up your issues.

KJ

47 TV and 19 Radio from Durris - although to be fair I do not rescan the terrestrial option as often as perhaps I should.

This is with a 6900super - so no DTT HD

I got a cheap (free) TVONICS freeview STB from the government scheme for our spare telly in the bedroom, and it picks up a lot more than my TM6900super combo. Possibly because the TVONICS is on the new ariel and the Tm on the old ariel.

My Panasonic TV with Freeview HD picks up nearly 180 channels - but a tv tuner always picks up far mor than my TM6900HD Super anyway mate!:respect-050:

some areas are fed by more than one transmitter and so can actually get adjacent area channels , but 120 SD is about the "norm"
