AzBox Me RTi Core v1.6.0 - 29.01

- New Kernel

- New Drivers of 25.01.2012

What's new:

- Added support for Blindscan for models Me and MiniMe (Menu -> Setup -> Service Searching -> Manual Scan -> Type of Scan (Blindscan) )

- Fixed problem with IR mixing from some TV brands which are using same NEC protocol as in AZBox Me/MiniMe

- New application example_outports & activate_outports for more stability in work with Outputs like HDMI, Component and Composite.

- When receiver is in standby just clock will be shown without date, to prevent scrolling. (Me)

- Better support for timeshift and recording.

Currently we are doing transition to new kernel 3.2.1 which will have support for vTuner (DVB-T/C and DVB-S2 USB tuners), and better support for all other things and parts which was missing in old kernel 2.6.22.

It seems that 1st priority for the RTI team is Me products, but i would like to know how many people owns the Me vs older products :) maybe a poll would be a good idea?

old models will be released in next couple days as admins told.
maybe azbox me are just easier/faster to code/fix.
and since mini me is available soon, they focused on me and mini since they are very similar. and to have a good release with it. my guess mini me will be a huge sales record. cheap and fast and already stable, we'll see.
if all goes well in theory with this release, azbox me should be perfectly stable by now.
i tested HDMI fix and i can confirm 100% fixed. (it was so annoyinng to have everytime after boot or turn tv on, to have to go to menu and change resolutions just to trick HDMI to get image again, only using VDF to guide me).
the rest i'll test with this new release.
btw glad new kernel is available for usb tuners and wireless :)

well i will have someone knocking on my door with 2 ME tomorrow so i will be moving my P upstairs....so long as things are moving in the right direction with these boxes, must be positive :boxing_smiley:

Oh, yeah, very positive... We've been doing this "positive" AZtango, one step forward three steps backwards, for years now - and it's still not there by a long shot...

On top of it all they lost the Sigma (motherboard/chip manufacturer) support for their selling point (Android)...

So, how long do you think it will take for the new boxes - if ever?!?

Who can trust OS with anything?

better than spaze?

better than spaze?

spaze has many cool options.if u don't need those, yes it's better than spaze.
but, shouldn't take a while for spaze to release now based in new kernel and with new drivers/fixes. they work fast.
also prob u can expect tdt and wireless support now.
