Some advice please, is there an easy way to switch from A to B tuner
on DB 8000 HD, using Black Hole image.
DB was set up on Tuner A via motorised dish, have just added a small
fixed dish set to Astra 28.2 on Tuner B. Though I didn't find it too straight
forward have set it to fixed dish, LNB 2 & Auto. I scanned only for FTA
channels & all was working.
To a point have things working, I can move motorised dish to another
satellite to use on 2nd STB & select Astra 28.2 on DB menu. Although
I can view two different Satellites via buttons on TV remote am getting
the A Tuner channel list which is all of the channels.
Any help appreciated.

Tuner 'A' takes priority over 'B' to my knowledge.
If you want 28e as priority on your fixed dish just like I have, then tune 28e into Tuner 'A'.
Deleting 28e from your sat lists for Tuner 'B' will then sort it out.
Works for me.

The priority setting has no effect at all, it's in the menu but no idea why!
Do as dave3dg says, delete the sat from your tuner b list.
However, if you do that, you won't be able to watch a channel and record another.
I use fixed dish on tuner A and the motor on tuner B.

Thanks for your replies dave3dg & oldfart. Looks like I will have to get
more information on how to set up DB. As said in first post, all channels
are on Tuner "A" including Astra 28.2 & only Astra 28.2 on Tuner "B"
which I would like to switch to.
I don't know if you can copy all settings from A to B Tuner but have just had to get help resetting dish as SuperJack corrupted & lost all positions.
I originally setup DB by using old STB to set dish position & kept swopping
lead to install channels then writing in positions.
If you are watching one channel & recording on another how do you select.
The second dish was added more of a backup. My DB has been switched
off for about 7 months as it was causing interference to other equipment.
Have pulled out the WIFI card which solved the problem. Also want to
use 2nd STB & need DB to move dish.

right - you post is very confusing ..
do you want to have your dish operated by two recievers? If so you need a Smart Priority Switch. It allows 2 inputs to one motor.
but - re-reading your post - you are using a positioner?
don't know how they work, or what voltage is required.
next.
you could, using the menus, copy settings from tuner b to tuner a , one at a time
or
you could edit the /etc/enigma2/settings file
you can't use notepad - use a unix compatible editor such as notepad++
tuner a is in the file as Nims.0 and tuner b is Nims.1
next
if you are recording one channel and have the same lnb on another tuner - the box will do it all for you, no user input needed.

Thanks again for the reply oldfart & information. Although I was used
to setting up an earlier DB, literally have to relearn though have most
of new software to work from Win 7. Networking isn't a problem.
I have a DISEqC 1.2 Positioner & this is in the Garage due to a noisy
tranformer & lack of space, if correct running 36 volt motor. It would
be easier to have this indoors & use with a remote.
I have a quad LNB, 3 leads downstairs, 1 upstairs. One lead can be
plugged into a connector behind TV to give me 2 up, 2 down, plus
another lead from fixed dish & spare lead that can be connected to
fixed dish as that has quad LNB also.
Two combo 1080P DVD recorders + Media player so plenty of options.
My basic aim was to leave DB on fixed dish on Astra for FTA but still
be able to move main dish for Protek 9750 HD ip. I have to find out
if this is still current though it does auto update until I can get back
into programming DB. Hope this makes things clearer.
I had considered adding TV tuner to DB so it must be switchable.
As I said in first post, I can move dish to required position which it
stays, then go back to Astra via menu & it picks up fixed dish but in
menu A not B.
Just one thing "the same LNB", do you mean a double ?

No clearer!
You need to decide on what you want and go from there.
If you have, a fixed dish on tuner a and a motor on tuner b; if tuner a can't find the channel you have requested , then it will go to tuner b - so your dish will move!
To stop your dish moving, then you will have to remove 28e from tuner b.
If you want to record a channel from sky and watch another channel on sky, then you need 2 feeds into separate tuners.
If you want to hav tv available round the house, you could use the dm and stream over your LAN.

Thanks for the reply & sorry for delay oldfart. As stated in first post
motorised dish is on Tuner A & fixed dish on B.
I spoke to Lee, Sponsor & he also says to wipe out out one 28E.
So it appears my question "How to switch from A to B Tuner ?"
is that you can't & it's a micky mouse box !!
At present I can't select 28E from motor & it defaults to fixed dish
so can move dish to different Satellite for Protek STB & still have
28E on fixed dish. Protek opens chans on 5 different Sats.
I don't have Sly just FTA but can still get 2 different chans with my
setup + standard FTA TV.
Another annoyance with DB can fine tune a Sat once it's been installed
in positioner but otherwise can't move dish from DB.
Have installed quite a few Sats though of no importance & a couple
more to find. Max is 30 deg West & plus 23E.
Next stage is to set up PC to DB as need to find out how to update
bouquets. Find I get different channels via the two STBs.

The simple answer is get a diseqc switch and put the fixed dish and motor on tuner A and another lead from the fixed dish to tuner B.
