vu+ solo image without latest bootloader

Hi a bit lost and dont want to brick my friends box installing the wrong image.

Basically this is just used as client and dont particularly want to install the latest bootloader at this time as i dont think its required but i am looking at blackhole 1.6.5 or 1.6.6.. are these images ok with old bootloader.
