I installed the enigma 2 plugin (put 0815 to instal plugin)no problem there how ever when I try to boot from the USB stick I never get an option to boot from there (I am trying to use the PKT image which seems to be the best one to try reading this forum)when the stb boots up from standby the front display goes trough this sequence "flash" then "boot" then "run"then" start1" and boots up as normal from the hdd ,what am I doing wrong ,(I am using the same usb stick I installed the plugin with but now with only the PKT E2 image on)

reflash stick using maxiboot installer with usb stick in the machine, booted up into original firmware

How do you that,I tried a format (booted up in original firmware)via the storage manager on the stb, then put the image back but still won't boot up .the display alternates between the chosen boot option and the maxiboot loader but never goes any further.

did u reflash the stick using maxiboot installer?

boot up ice to normal firmware

load maxiboot installer on your computer, login to ice, and then you should see SDB (which is your stick)

mount and and install image to stick.

reboot with stick in, choose relevant usb1 option(front) - bingo

u might need to try a few different sticks! its v fussy

Not so quick this is all new to me Right I installed AAF maxiboot installer on my pc (didn't realise this is windows prog) I am connected to my stb I can see the the usb stick like you say its marked as SDB ,you have copy options and then with right click you have the following options ,install image, rename image, mount, mount all,1.1clone image, settings channels , network ,usb/HDD with sub options change label check partition, format ext2 ,format ext3,format fat32,fomat jfs, ,I have formated the memo stick using the format fat32 option in the above menu .when you select mount it doesn't give you any options what to mount ,how do I copy the image from the folder were the unzipped image is to the installer and then install it.also do I need to use any of the copy options?

Once mounted choose install image then browse for your image file making sure its unzipped

Reading your guide after you set up the 2 partitions on the memo stick they should show up in the right collum on the AAF installer so you can mount the image this isn't happening so I don't get the option to mount anything , is this down to the memo stick then ,I tried one partition also 4 partitions using a memory card and reader ,Both the memo stick and the memocard were picked up by AAF installer.
