mypc cannot find sat box?

Hi guys newbie here just got me first sat linux box i have an az premium plus HD have been trying to get it up on my pc but cannot find it the sat box is on internet ok but unable to see it on pc have azup on pc that didnt find it dont know where to go from here any suggestions please

More info needed. How is it connected ? Router wifi or by cable ?
You can try DCC and use the search function

hi it is connected wifi ,have DCC and that finds it ok just unable to find it anywhere on the pc not in network or devices when i find it in DCC it comes up in the large grey box Protocol at the bottom:- telnet connected FTP connected then Bootmanager not found Telnet disconnected telnet login in correct so i am unsure where to go now

If telnet is disconnected then there is something wrong with the settings. Check password and IP adress (do a search in DCC)

You must fill in root and dreambox to get connection (usually it is dreambox) try that !

In OFW you must enable various server protocols, I suppose, in the Main Settings menu...

In E2 you need to enable Samba server plugin...

my az box premium plus hd is as it came except i updated FW so have no enigma2 or any other on there all i have done is put my sat in and blind scanned

Hi guys dont know what has happened now thought i would have a go so i unpacked bin file to a formatted mem stick swictched az box of put the mem stick in and started box , update from usb, then it came up upgrade stb with new features please wait, loader updating ,zbinimage-linux-xpc
so waited then VFD on screen with an ip address which i enteredthat ip into azup and it still will not find the sat box , now when i turned sat box off then back on all that comes up is VFD the ip address have i buggered it?? please help

hi just looked at that guide (alternative azbox guide) which is ok but cannot get my az box past this on the screen just showing a ip address feel i would be ok if i could get azup to see the box

hi i have official in it but trying to get enigma 2 in this is where my problem is AZup does not see the sat box i have got to stage where i need to enter patch e2 and when i go to azup and enter the ip which is shown on the azbox display it does not find my box so am stuck in mid stream so to speak

yes i know there are tutorials and have read them,but my azup does not see the box and is stuck with the ip address in the box display and i do not know how to get past this as i get the message from azup "could not open connection to the host- ip address 192 .168. 1 .111 which is the address my box has running across the display

Edit: just saw you are using wireless (WLAN) and not LAN (cabled up), at the back of your AZbug. Well, it's not AZbug for no reason...

FIRSTLY, CONNECT VIA LAN CABLE TO YOUR ROUTER/MODEM! Apparently, there are problems with flashing via WLAN. Do it via LAN!

Secondly, check in the modem/router what is your AZbug's local network IP address. In it you can reserve that address by tying it to the AZbug's MAC address and you will always have that address, no matter what.

Then, if that doesn't work - try JaZUp 2.4 (if AzUp doesn't work).

Find the instructions in the JaZUp package and do as told to - and good luck!

hi guys at the risk of being told off , i now have a problem, managed to get enigma in and running, set it up ok , so then decided to power the box down and move the box when i go to powrer up it comes up starting etc then went into =s have trie dto restart even putting enigma in again and trying to restore official Fw ,, now all i get is booting and then just shows the ip address across the screen really am stuck now if you could help i wouls very much appreciate it

Read the darn info on the web, stop inventing the hot water! Obviously, you do not know what you are doing but you are "muddling through"... Keep doing it at your own peril... (On the other hand, wreck it and rid yourself of the junk, then buy a proper box with decent or even best possible support... :D )

You're probably in the Rescue Mode (this is the second time you've done it, it seems to me, from afar...)...

Stop doing things without any help! There's a lot of it about! Just SEARCH a bit...
