I have a Azbox Premium HD E2 with Spaze 2.1 loaded. I had problems with the box and had to reload E2 and Spaze 2.1 but now I have started having problems with the external HDD. Originally I had the hard drive fitted to my PC but when I got the Az I formatted it to FAT32 and then connected it with AZ. After initialising the drive everything was working fine. I have able to record, backup data and save Crossepg data.

After reinstalling E2 and Spaze I am not longer able to record (Error - 'No HDD found or HDD not initialized'). The Crossepg data is saving ok and I getting all the 7 days of programs saved the HDD, which is strange. I have gone in to initialize the HDD again (Menu > setup > system I select Harddisk and press Initialization) but get an error message saying 'Unable to initilize harddisk. Error: Mount Failed'.

I have plugged the HDD into my laptop but the laptop with Windows 7 does not recognise the drive. Can some tell me how to reformat the disk or force the disk to initilize. Is there a plugin that i can download from TSPanel or something else which will format the disk through the laptop?

Many thanks

Format the external HDD with ext3. After formatting make a directory named "movie". Now the box should be able to read and write the HDD.
