Mount manager not working for me on AZBOX HD Elite - can not change the text values in config. It is possible to overwrite the default text but when saving, nothing happens :-(

its riduculous that a NEW driver and core release, has a fairly major bug with a very popular channel - when the old one worked - this should have been nipped in the bud after release time (not blaming Spaze of course!)

It seems to me that there are a lot of functions and some may have gone bonkers, so there is no real possibility of saving a changed name of a "mount" etc. A number of these basic functions are not working properly, sadly...

Yes but the plugin was nowhere near as ambitious as this one, at least in editing capabilities. So, the plugin(s) didn't have a lot of the little functions that they are trying to implement now.

It is good to be ambitious. However, these should be tested properly before releasing...

For instance, getting into a parameter and editing it, then SAVING the changes is a very important function, which needs to be easily accessible and visible, not covered in mystery, whether naming or renaming something, plus if you're gonna call it "Return value" or whatever, then better explain it to non-techies etc.

There are way too many bugs in there, from what little I tested, trying to mount or edit a scanned mount or whatever one can normally do with it.

I believe one has to do the fstab editing, 'till they fix it.

It looks good, if only it would work properly...

Dunno, haven't tried 2.1.

But when compared to Ferrari, for instance, I find AZbug better in one aspect (ONLY!!!), if OS is E2 in both: Media Centre.

The single media player is an advantage in a variety of ways, thanx to the toil of Sattommy, as we hear. I find it better when filling up the TV screen (upscaling to p, not just i), no endless messing with the playlists etc.

All else is worse or much worse than Ferrari/Dream...

Mind you, bugs like these below (from the "changelog") aren't fun at all (i.e. what I said applies only if and when all is working well, of course - because it is working in Ferrari/Dream!!!)

One thing I forgot: I managed to mount one folder on my NAS, where I didn't have to alter anything, just confirmed/activated within the Mount Manager... But only that one... Zeini, is it theoretically possible that I managed to get one to work, if kernel is not supporting it?

I'm still using PB version from before Christmas, it seems the newer releases are full of bugs! I think the Spaze images are to bloated slowing them down. No point in me trying this release after what I have read here.

No, if you write your mount in fstab, all is OK.
I allways have mounted all my boxes in fstab. But the drive you will mount almost must be ready, if you start your box.

Yeah, I know how to do it, generally speaking - but we're all fallible... Checked the fstab again, edited (messed up the IP address for NFS NAS) and rebooted...

Stuck at restart GUI... Remote restart doesn't work. Reboot at the back of the receiver. Receiver really hot! It took its time rebooting, too...

NFS shares OK (thanx for the push, Zeini!) but CIFS still a no go... MM or fstab editing...

...as I don't have a whole CIFS partition/drive as a shared folder but only pieces of it...

On the other hand, one shouldn't need username and password if one has switched off password protected sharing in advanced sharing/network options...

But I tried both, with no success...

P.S. Added the AZbug's IP address in Firewall and it should work, from that standpoint, as my PC sees AZbug and can get into its directories, via Windows Explorer, no problem...

I have the problem of not getting any panels up after transferring them with MAZ and ipkg installing them.
On reboot none of the panels appear for selection.
Going to see what RTI 1.7 can offer, other wise I am restoring saved Spaz 2.1 configuration.

If you have set no password try for example

\\\\192.168.x.x\\My Pictures /media/pictures cifs password= rw 0 0 0 0

Empty spazes is not good. Set eg an "_" instead empty spaze.
Bot often also "\04" do work for empty spaze. Of course without "".
