Hi Help needed

I have been looking to purchase a VU+ Ultimo for some time. Before it was released people were saying it would be the next big thing. Then shortly after release the price dropped and the net is very quiet. No reviews, little by way of user comments this is not what we have come to expect, it is very quite, are there some issues with the Ultimo, the Duo had lots of very positive reviews when it was released. Apart of complaints about the Ultimo remote, and asking why only T1 and not T2. In the past new machines were released and problems reported and improved in the next revision. The silence is very disturbing. Or would I be better looking at the ET9000. Any help would be appreciated.
