Hi all,

I am brand new to this, apologies in advance

I've read a few things, but I'm a bit confused. If i were to purchase a 3500 from ******, would i need to flash an image to the box? I read something which implied that I could edit something that was already on the box (and input a c_line) without flashing?

Thanks for any help

welcome to the forum , and try reading the rules next time ( no mentioning other retailers )

it is my opinion that all boxes need flashing after puchase , and so I would say you buy the box , flash it , and then add your c line

Hey

I just went out and bought one, and I can confirm that all you need to do is to put the plugin folder on a USB - click download data - go to plugins and configure your clines there - SO EASY!

Thanks all!

I suppose my question is whats the best sw to flash with ?
at the moment have mgcam and was thinking about E2 image / plugin but not sure what the benefit of changing would be.

Also dont get 7 day epg. I will try the express epg as suggested in another thread but would be good to know nicecst plugin to use ?

I see ICECAM and E2 seem to be the most popular...

Use crossepg with e2, oscam and oscam based cams are very flexible.

Hi Dizz - nice one.

Can you confirm that E2 works on this S3500HDCCi box please ?

Use the USB method to load ?

Dont want to brick it.

I tried the express epg but

If using express epg do you first press epg button then the blue ?
If so I get 2 options, MHW or TV.

Selecting TV gives a further 2 options - page or chanell.

Pressing page gives the epg for current page but you have to do this for each page every time you turn on the box.

Is this correct or am I missing something ?

Cheers.

Ron.
