Help please, just got my new vu ultimo
today, been trying to set it up all day,
it is doing my head in now, ive read the
stickies and ive gone as far as d/l catseyes
channel settings to the box. Im using diseq1.2
not the usuals as per guide.I have tried a few
ways that i would have thought would work, but
no, cant get it to work on diseq. I have even put
my second box (spider) on hot bird etc and
put the same channel on vu box but still doesnt clear.
Can anyone please take me through step by step
of installing the sats. I have also tried numbering the
sats to the same number as on the spiderbox. but
still the motor wont move.

Update.. can now get hotbird and
astra 19.2 but nothing else.

Thats the guide ive been using m8, ive
got up to the loaing channels part of it.
The only thing i have not done is setting
usuals, ive skiped that stage because
im using diseq not usuals.

With DiSEqC 1.2 you normally have to set up each satellite position individually.

It woul help if you explain why you are using DiSEqC 1.2 - are you using a vBox or do you have another reason for not using USALS

No m8, not using v-box, im just
used to using diseq, but on this
box i cant find were to go and
do it.

This is what I did on a VU+Duo using DiSEqC 1.2 to control a vBox.

I had to go to configuration mode > advanced > satellite - {select a satellite} - set LNB 1
DiSEqC mode 1.2 - use USALS no - stored postion - {enter a number}

For each satellite position/name I had to enter the DiSEqC number that corresponded - so you have to know in advance what DiSEqC numbers you have already set in your positioner

If that fails, I would suggest using USALS to set it up - check you have a working system then adjust later.

Thats what ive been doing m8, ive just tried usuals
but still the same. when entering long mine is -4.???
can input numbers but not the - simble.
Ive been inputing the numbers of the sats that
correspond with the sat positions on my
spider and dreambox but still not working. Realy
doing my head in now.
