At the end My azbox is dead

my small adventure with azbox.

A few years ago i heard about the azbox so i had to get one.as living in the midle east i couldnt get one so i asked
my brother who lives in australia to buy me one from the US and send it by hand to me ..waited for it 3 months
got it and and tried every single image from 3877 till the last E2 it was getting better by the day.
while i was trying to instal openpli when the electricitty went off (somthing no other country has) when the power came back on
the box was stuck on booting .
as also i couln t find a usb to TTL converter so i ordered one the same way as above .waiting for it to arrive i built a RS323 serial to ttl
converter with the help from friends here in this forum as explaned in their threds Thanks to pr2 and blagi
did as explained step by step no coneccion with putty thought my converter didn work so i put the box away untill i got the usb to ttl
tried it step by step also no joy . so oficialy my box is dead

Sorry to hear the sad news!

Do you get any message in putty? Is the bootloader bad, for sure? What box did you have elite,premium hd+, ultra? If you have a premium you can still save it via JTAG.

i had to go through this process, and it worked for me, are you following the guide properly, have you tried swapping RX and TX

yes i tried swapping the RX and TX but putty does not see my box as they say I've done it by the book .
I have a an old DM500 that i have to use until i can purchase a new descent HD box

I don't belive your box is bricked if it was you would get a message in putty like this

it looks like you haven't configered your ttf correctly

the thing is at first with the programer i build 2 lines of scambeled symbols i thought that rx tx were wrong so i twisted them nothing
happened so while i pulling them out i shorted gnd and one of the other wires .after that putty doesn't see the box. the i received the USB to TTL
and connected it as discribed in the tutoreial the same thing nothing at putty. so it must be busted . thanks anyway

The yamon in the flash will only get damaged if you connect the3 or 5 volt to the rx or tx and then mostly you burn out the ttf unit not the box check your in box
