im very pleased with myself this morning!

i discovered my box had crashed this morning, after weeks of running RTI 1.6.0 fine.

so i thought sod it, and installed Spaze 2.2.

when i was setting up, i noticed while messing around that ch4hd was working, but i rebooted, and then it wasn't - so i thought strange.

and then after lots of channel hopping it still didnt work, but then i wondered what i'd been doing before ch4HD worked....

i had been watching snooker for a bit on BBC HD (not BBC ONE HD)...and then installed TSPANEL \ and then installed CCAM (inside TSPANELS EMU section.)

so i then went back to BBC HD - and then flicked back to CH4 HD, and it wasnt working, BUT i went into TSPANEL, and stopped and started CCCAM 2.2.1 - and then CH4 cleared...!

now i know this is a FTA channel, but what ive noticed for a while now, when you stop CCCAM and restart it on any channel, there is a small cut off of channel\sound etc even when startting as it starts and stops video...its this starting and stopping that must put CH4HD into life)

so to cut a long story short....and i hope it works for others - do this:

flip to BBC HD on 28.2 (not BBC ONE HD)

then flip to CH4HD (it wont be working, jittery etc)

then go into TSPANEL, and stop and start CCCAM

CH4HD should then work!!!!

after more fiddling i have an EASIER fix.

put BBC HD on..... and do system, RESTART (not just gui, full restart)

let it come back on onto BBC HD, then switch to CH4HD - after about 10 seconds it will appear.

LOL! easy.

this works, if you restart with cccam on or off!

takes about 15-20 seconds before it works

can someone try the step above but starting with CH4HD on, then restart...and see if it comes back and clears...

Too much like hard work. lol

I just keep a copy of an older 865xdvb.ko file for my ME (863xdvb.ko for other AZBox's) which I upload post flash. Works fine. It's not just C4 this problem affects.

Only think I have found irritating is that switching to AC£ audio reduces volume considerably. Works fine on primary or NAR channel. Any thoughts very welcome on this only.

this has always been the case mate on all images ive ever used on this box.

annoying when u switch over to another box, and the volume blares out.

post number 52.

bewarned, if u use this file, the channel changing bug occurs (where u have to go up and down on the channel twice before it clears)

u dont get this with the newer file - so its your choice really.

old file, ch4hd works every time, but channel changing is buggy.

or new file, ch4hd doesnt work, unless u do my trick, but channel changing works.
