Using S4000 with a NAS and NFS

I would like to use my S4000 with a Synology NAS. Both devices support NFS and I can mount the NAS manually on /STORAGE/NET (and can probably automate this by creating a plugin). However, the receiver does not allow me to select this mount point for recording and playback. Does anyone know how to do this, please?
