burning to dvd from hardrive

first of all a big thanks to everyone who as helped me getting my vu up and running :respect-048:
i have some films on my hardive of the vu ( thanks to donki and painter)
i would like to burn them on dvd , any ideas ?

I transfer the .ts files from DM800 via the network to the PC, then use VideoReDo to edit/author/burn. Works very well, I guess you would be able to do something similar with the Vu?

how do i transfer them to pc?
would dream control center be ok?

DCC will copy from the VU+ hard drive to your computer hard drive - use theFTP tab within DCC.

Can take a bit of time for large file transfers.

I just set up the dreambox HDD to appear in network places so I can simply drag and drop onto the PC desktop, but FTP will work just as well.

All the above confirmed to work for me also.

If you want to keep the quality 100% don't apply divx or xvid compression to them. Some TS files will be over a standard DVD size (4.7GB), especially HD recordings which average around 7-8GB) so if you want to burn those you will need a dual layer burner.
