Recording on 6900 Super

Hi everyone. I'm currently using patch 742 with addon. I've just got the TM 6900 Super running again after nearly two years gathering dust! I've managed to get a line working on it which I think is great. But when watching recorded progams it is totally unstable. FTA channels included. Sorry if this has been discussed before - but is it this patch? Is there a more stable patch I can use and still use 8281? Thanks.:001_07:

Latest patch is 745P mate - I used it to record Darts in 3D ok last week!:number-one-043:

I'm currently using 742 patch with add on and recordings are first class - SD and HD, encrypted and FTA, not sure what you're doing wrong mate. What HDD are you using?

I was using an old pc harddrive before. Everything was ok - still have movies from Film1.1 that play ok! But problems occurred when I updated to present patch. I tried a memory stick but same problem - a lot of skipping. Have I missed anything in the patches since I last upgraded(maybe two years ago)?

Tried new patch and still the same. Used both USB ports and no difference. What earlier patch could I try? Do I have to format the recording disk?

Well as I say, I find patch 745P is fine for me in recording, but apparently patch 726P is totally stable for use with 8281 - I also found 737P very good too - so maybe try those too?
Assume you are following the accepted procedure when loading new patches as explained numerous times in other threads - and first clearing out all the previously ac***ulated rubbish when carrying out the factory resets as recommended?:respect-067:

Thanks holmroad. 737P seems to have cured it after a factory reset. Did a quick 2 minute test and solid picture without jumping, etc. apart from 2 secs at start of recording. Thanks again mate.
