I have read that new boxes are planned, Duo and solo 2 with much faster processors, solo with software tuner and Duo with hardware tuner.
Anyone else heard anything?
I have copied this from another place:

Only what you have already posted.

If the specs are true, then the Duo2 is going to be better than the ultimo.

Well I would not put too much stock in this just yet, and even less in the stated specs until or if a official announcement is made by Vu.

Wait for VU+ to make an official statement and don't think that they are just around the corner because they wont be and the specs are not even official yet.

There is a trade show next month in europe, which is where I would expect the announcement to be made.

But from that point if it's anything like the Ultimo it could still be 9 - 12 months before they hit the shelves.

I wonder if they will be able to convert 2d to 3d and come with several free sets of passive 3d spectacles?

Perhaps they will even eb able to open films that haven't even been released yet too.

Now that would be something new for a change instead of the same old rehashes with minor enhancements that most users will never use nor even notice. I'd be happier if they could get the previous or even current range to work properly first.

All i know for a definite is sometime next month Vu will ship the new Plug & Play Dual tuner to retailers for sale expecting to be around 45-50 euro, this will in effect make the VU Uno the new Duo and the Ultimo will have a 6 tuner capability.

Its hard to think they would even bother with a Solo2 and Duo2

All Speculation still then about the Solo2 having twin tuners, VU state that a new chipset only we will have to wait until the Anga cable show and then if VU are the reasonable slow selves expect the Solo2 and Duo 2 around January next year.

So at least a good 30 days before January WOW! that is fast LOL, just enough time to shift the old stock off to unsuspecting customers.
