Audio out problem on VU+duo

My audio out seems to have blown on my VU+duo Was using a hdmi to dvi cable to connect to my hitachi plasma tv as it's an early model and did'nt come with hdmi so have to use audio out to get sound.
So my question is is there an easy fix.
