I have not got a clue what glasses to get, I've been to PC world tonight and got no where. Manual says TW-EW3D2LE, EW3D2ME or EW3D2SE but these seem to be old stock and the stores I checked don't have them.
Any help ?
BTW I have a large head !

According to the manual for that TV you need Panasonic active 3D glasses. Probably like my Samsung glasses they have a tiny battery in them.

If you are in Scotland or Wales then I bet there are and free but if you in England then you'll have to pay for them :respect-050:

You might with Argos and other crap stores like Currys but Costco give 2 free pairs with every 3D TV. Been there today.
google Xpand Universal 3d glasses. there not the prettiest of shutter glasses but have had good reviews. Ideal if your popping around to a mates who has a diffrent branded 3d tv to yours :)

Keano,
Are you sure that the part no of the glasses starts with TW?
Panasonic TY-EW3D2 are active shutter glasses. The suffix SE, ME, and LE refer to the size - small, medium and large and these are for pre 2012 models.
The third generation (I think) are TY-EW3D3. See Panasonic web site
_http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_GB/Products/TY-EW3D3ME/Overview/8149497/index.html.
This page also gives info on glasses for 2012 models.
Please double check my info !!!

OK the glasses I got are TY-EW3D3ME, that is what the Panasonic website said for UT model TV's. Got to say though what a load of crap. I have sky 3d and yet when watching with my glasses I don't see much difference. Its just like HD. Same with PS3 also.
Everything is setup OK and I have tried different angles but I just don't see any 3D TV.
Glasses are brand new and appear to working OK, little red flashes on top every 2 seconds.

I've got a Sony 46" 3d led and I have to say 3d tv is a marketing con. I never use it any more. Watching 3d sports like footbal is like watching the old Subbuteo footbal board game, only animated.

Quick update because I have bad eye site in my left eye I can't see 3d images. Wife can see it no problem. I think they should tell you this before you part with your cash.

A couple of things m8. If you aren't seeing 3D the picture should look a bit blurred rather than like HD. Also HD has usually been with glasses that have one red lens and one blue lens so poor eyesight in one eye may cause a problem.

I am not quite sure what your saying with the "Also HD has usually been with glasses that have one red lens and one blue lens so poor eyesight in one eye may cause a problem"
What you are referencing to there is the old Anaglyph 3D system that has been around for over 80 years, The latest 3D active or passive Polarised system has been around for at least 30 years but only become mainstream in the household in the last 3 years ( The US. had the Active shutter system for around 20 years in the home ).
We now have the main 2 types of 3D polarised system active and passive as well as 2 systems for the home Broadcast Television side by side system which is not Full HD and of course Blu Ray 3D which is the Full 1080p 3D which i might add only active systems can currently display the Full 3D HD picture, Passive systems have to compromise at present but i would imagine they are not too far behind.

If I don't turn glasses on then the image is blurry, turn glasses on and picture is great but I just don't see any 3D images, its not the TV or glasses because the wife can see them and even screamed and jumped when watching it.
For me all I get is bl**dy bad headache.
Haha just seen how I spelt eyesight in my last post, that's too much time on building sites and too much brandy on Fathers day :-)

I was just explaining the original concept of red/blue. In fact you can still buy these from the main suppliers but not like those that came in a packet of cornflakes.;)

Just waiting for Poundland to stock a 55inch Samsung 3D TV. :)
Meanwhile....will stick with my glasses not required, 50inch Plasma non-3D TV. :D
