Folks,
I have a situation where I can connect to my AZBoxHD using DCC and JazUp but when I come to install a patch all I keep getting is "Send FTP: Read Timed out".
I have tried putting the patch on a USB to run it from there however it does not run from the usb.

It looks as if the AZBoxHD does not know what to do with the USB patch file and when I try to use JazUp it just times out.

Any body know what to do?

What do you have loaded at present - official firmware or one of the e2 images ?

You can try AZup instead of Jazup. If you are going from official to e2 follow the full instructions in the AZup readme , then report back to the forum if you still get stuck.

Folks,
I have disabled firewall and got same message.
I am going from e2 to e2 because RTI 1.7 was becoming slower and slower. I had loaded up too many items into it.

I deleted partions 1, 2 & 3. I thought these were on the hard drive. looks like they were on the DOM!!!

iq180 I think I made the mistake of discussing this problem in the standard AZBoxHD nubie section.
I should have put it in the E2 section although I did try to use the original software patch.bin file to recover to the old software.

To me it looks as if I have removed files that can read and load the patch file, I would have called them the Bootloader but then the operating system is starting, it is just doing nothing with the patch files.

put your usb in the computer and remove every thing on it but the patch file and rename it patch, remove the usb from the computer,
do not put the usb in the azbox, restart jazup go through the back to offical process, now when it calls for the patch file put the usb
in the azbox and load it.
i have done this 7 or 8 times and it has worked every time.
hope this helps.
