Can I set up recording a few days before it shows?

I am going away for few days and I would like to set up a recording that takes place on saturday.

I cannot see the program on the epg and I the "download epg data" in the network meny doesn't work as usual. So I cannot press the recording buttom.

Can I it be done someother way.

By the way, it is Toronto vs Liverpool on tv2plhd1 on thor.

yes, go into the menu, Utility, and select timer. Go to active and scroll to recording, then enter the necessary details.
It doesn't use a time to stop recording but a length of time the recording is set for.
I'm using a Spiderbox 9000HD, I can't see which version you have.

emm.. have never from day 1 had that much joy with the epg to record....
if i do a manual time..the receiver comes on , via the HDD. but doesnt always turn the recorded programme off.AND ALSO SAME THING. via a selected programme with the red record button.
yet sometimes it does switch off....
that could be a bit of a worry if away and the receiver is still on ..
just my thought
