update failed

Hi

I haven't used my 7000 for a while so I just updated it to the March firmware.

I then go to network, connect to server and then press connect. It says connected but after about 10 seconds it says update failed.

Why won't it update?

Probably because you've already updated it.
It won't load the same or older software to your box by network.

Is the March one the latest firmware for the 7000 then?

Also my box is more than 12 months old now. Will it still get any 'extra' channels?

The last patch was March 2012.
Many people have "extra" channels going long past 12 months, so you might be lucky even though you're strictly not entitled to receive them.

enable the patch with 1111 and then turn on ETHERNET

if it says CONNECTED then yes is your answer
