What is it supposed to do?
I have an android phone and a vuduo so might be interested.

Just found 'Dreamdroid' and tried it on my Motorola Xoom.
It does work but the video and sound is very much stop and start.
Not sure why yet, maybe a codec issue. I will check if I have the latest mxplayer codecs.
I will also test on another player.
I will also test it on my SGSII.
I take it you have created a profile for your VU?
You need to do that and enter the ip address of your VU.
Its quite easy to work out how the program works with a bit of looking through menus.

I am also on ICS, perhaps that is an issue?

Had it working for ages with my Galaxy S and xoom.
No glitching, I use Daroon player.
Also soon we should see an app from Vu for your android.

Same result on my SGSII.
Not sure what the problem is.
Could be something to do with my homeplugs.
Although they are 300MB rated, I do believe they might have a compatibility issue with my new router and may not be performing at the maximum speed.
I shall fiddle some more. I am sure I have other brand homeplugs somewhere.

It's certainly better with Daroon player but still lots of stop / start.
I shall explore my theory with my homeplugs.
What firmware have you on your Xoom & Galaxy?

If you have the latest Uk firmware for the Xoom then it is Gingerbread.
I have turned mine into a USA device and have ICS.

Dreamdroid and Daroon player works a treat. For me it only works on WiFi some have had more luck on 3G.

Click on 'profiles'.
You will see that the default profile is for a DM8000.
You need to add a profile for your device which really is just giving it a name and very importantly, the vuduo ip address.
Without the ip address, it will not work. It needs to know where to find the vuduo.
What phone are you using?

It is the ip address for your vuduo.
I assume you do have it connected to your router in some way?
Cable or wireless bridge?
Mine would be 192.168.1.*
Not your router ip address.
Not your computer ip address.

Check your port settings in dreamdroid and the Openwebif port settings on your Vu match.
As Openwebif uses 8088 by default IIRC and not 80 like the standard webif.

Yes, that is the ip address you must use.
You MUST select the new profile that you create for your vu, otherwise it defaults to the DM8000 profile.
Just click on it and it will say that profile is active.

hi boys ive recently got this going, over LAN and WAN, but i need to transcode the stream first as its too BIG for WAN \ 3G.
so....i was hoping to use a pc at home, to stream from my ET9200 to PC, with VLC on it, which then grabs my XTREND stream, then transcodes the input stream at full res, then trasncodes to lower bitrate to then OUTPUT the stream to ANOTHER http stream, which i will then output to LAN, and WAN.
im struggling at this point, im not sure if its a OPENWEBIF issue....
exciting tho, to be able to watch any of your satbox content from your phone esepcially on 3g!!
