View Full Version : S1500C Stop Working

Hi,
i've updated the S1500C with the "fac.icecrypt.s1500c.v1.19.40.2012 jan10.zip" file but my decoder does not power on now. if i remove and reattach the power plug, i can see the red led, then the green led, then no led and it stop work! what should i do now? :o11:

Hi, very much a long shot, trying holding the front on/off button in while applying the mains, on some receivers this can cause a better reset, after 30 seconds release the front button. This used to work on other make receivers.

But to be honest it sounds like the flash upgrade has not worked, problem is the flashing procedure is part of the software, once corrupted it may never work again.

You should be able to load the software using Porter Express. Details on how are in the Icecrypt section. There is no Flash cleaner on
the Icecrypt site for this model.

should i need to connect with RS-232 port or ther's another way? i haven't that cable and i don't know where to take now :-/

You will need a Null Modem cable to connect the RS-232 port on the PC and the Icecrypt.
Most PC shops sell them.

Once you have porter express, see post 's3500 powered off..' and I've gave instructions on how to flash using porter. Skip the step 'flash cleaner' as buck401 has already mentioned there isn't one for yr receiver.

Glad I stumbled upon this thread!
It seems that the download on offer at icecrypt.com is duff for the S1500C. I recovered my unit by using Porter-Express and installing v1.19.54 from here: https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?139418-Ird-icecrypt-s1500c
