Hi,

I wonder if you can please help me with the VuPlus Ultimo receiver using factory VIX Image. I installed one of the Tunisasat Addon Manager/"Spinner" plugging (I think that is what it was called). The receiver restarted but now keeps on crashing, repeatedly after automatically rebooting. How can I resolve this problem? Last month, I did take a backup to the hard disk and was wondering how I can revert back to that?

Many thanks in advance, for all your help.

With kind regards.

post your crash log so you can then be directed to the exact directory to delete the files that are causing this.

ok from the log, whatever you have installed has caused the actual display settings to become corrupted,so its not just a simple fix like navigating to the plugin that caused this and removing all the files using commands in putty.

im afraid your going to have to reflash your box with the backup that you said you have.

to do this you simply place the files onto a usb stick, place the stick into the box, power off and then power on again and follow the instructions in the display on when to remove the stick and reboot again.

i dont have an ultimo, but i know cokeaddict does,so hopefullu he will continue here with a few more details.
if not pm him and he will answer you.

Ian.

hi mate your backup will be in /media/hdd/imagebackups

it will be named along the lines of vuultimo-20120516_222347

inside there, there is a folder called vuplus, copy this to a fat32 formatted usb stick and turn off your box at the box, insert the usb stick into the front slot, and turn box back on, press - when told.
