hi everyone, the question i want to ask is, can i edit USALS position only a bit? the reason m asking is, the alignment on my 1.1m triax TD110 seems perfect as some channels getting 100% signals on 30w and on 42e as well. But i have to press ''move west'' button twice to get best signals on 7.3W. all the rest are perfect. i know we can store the satellite positions manually in positioner setup but i am using USALS with disqc switch coz have another fixed dish at sky, so m dependent on USALS.
so is there a way to edit USALS position ?
the box i have is dm800se
dont think so you tryed chaging by 1 ot 2 eyhrt way to get it

I cannot see why not myself, it can certainly be done on a spiderbox by entering a different position in the satellite location
I used to have say 16.0e at 15.8e or 26.0e at 25.8e
so I would have thought you could edit some file on the dm800 to change it from say 7.0w to 7.3w or vice versa
alternatively you could try altering your usals longitude position in 0.1 degree steps either less or more until you get a happy medium
meaning that if youe longitude is 2.7w, try 2.8w and 2.6w , and try 2.9w and 2.5w until you get a good signal
you can usually amend that position by half to one degree but its best to optimise it as is best for yourself
so I would try different usals longitudes first, to see how far out it is, then maybe try to edit the sat position on 7w to suit and then put the longitude in usals to what works best

just have edited the 7.0W(-70) position to 7.2W(-72) in satellites.xml file, loaded new satellite and scanned ... all ok now
