C More is to make available all of its channels and content across TVs, computer, tablet and mobile when the brand replaces Canal+ in the Nordic region on September 4.

It is a case of back to the future for owners TV4, which is taking the name of the holding company it purchased in June 2008 from ProSiebenSat.1 for €320 million. The name will also be known to the Nordic consumer having been used for C More HD, Europe’s first permanent high definition channel, launched in September 2005.

The number of current HD channels will extend to five; two movie channels, two sports channels, and one for series.

“C More is a comprehensive entertainment service for the whole family. With C More Play you can for example see a league game or a movie in your tablet on the go, or all episodes of favorite series on the laptop, says Johan Kleberg, CEO of C More.

After the switch 21 channels of sport, movies and series will be made available on a cross-platform basis. Access will be granted to either C More’s own VOD (Play) service or through that of the partner operator.

C More has the rights to movies from studios including Fox, MGM, Paramount, Disney, Universal, Sony, Warner, Nordisk Film and Non Stop. In addition, Swedish Film Industry’s international titles, and the SF-channel a wide range of SF’s major Swedish films area also available.

C More also holds the right to the HBO library on an exclusive basis, as well as content from Showtime, Universal, Turner, Warner, Starz and the BBC. CBeebies will premier on C More in the autumn.

HBO TV series and TV movies have premiered at C More, and selected series from Showtime, Universal, Turner, Warner, Starz and the BBC. C More also BBC’s award-winning children’s program CBeebies and in the fall will start investing in quality do***entaries.

In sport C More has the Allsvenskan Swedish football league and Elitserien ice hockey league alongside La Liga and Elitserien Speedway. C More Extreme has been created for UFC, STCC, Indycar and surfing.
