i have a spiderbox 7000 recently when i try to record on an external hard drive it always says hard drive nearly full but it's not can't see the option to initialize the disk to see if this cures it have wiped the hd on a computer but still message on screen disk nearly full

Have you formatted the HD Drive with FAT32, I do not have the Spiderbox 7000, also have you tried formatting the drive with the receiver.

i've formatted with fat 32 not sure where the option is to format through the receiver must have done in the past used to work ok

To Format : Menu....USB.....yellow button (on 9000. Presumably same on 7000).
