Taken from local source.

"Canal + in Spain has won the rights for the La Liga and they have changed the match starting times so no two matches are being played at the same time.
Until now the times had been set by the Professional Football League.
They have announced that games will be played at ten different times, so that no two matches are being played at the same time. Game times will be played from 1200 to 2330.
They will be shown Canal +, and Canal + 1 at weekends.
Having gobbled up the broadcast rights for La Liga the Prisa company, owners of Canal + who made the deal with Mediapro, can now call the shots for the next three years.

A deal has also been done with La ***ta which will be the only channel to broadcast open football on Monday nights.

Officially is should be the Professional Football League which sets the times, but it seems that money talks.

Already the times of La Liga games for this Saturday and Sunday have been modified so no two games are in play at the same time. The process will take some ten different starting times. Up to now Mediapro set the times.

Canal + is determine to recover the large investment it has made in the contract, reported to be 500 million €."
