Have you scanned in the channels manually or loaded a channel list?
Check your Latitude, and Longitude, settings, in the motor setup menu, if using Usals, as they might be wrong.
Are you using your Technomate along side your spiderbox, using a loop through system?
Providing you're on the right satellite, and have a good signal quality, you should have no problems with FTA channels.

have you activated the gift? registered etc seems strange if you did purchase it off the sponser that it does not work,
seems you may have a few teething problems but i wouldn`t worry too much just have a play around with your settings, you may have loop on TM by-pass this to get your full signal start on thor and work your way thro` the arc for gift, bits on most satellites.

Have you checked your latitude, and longitude, settings?
If you load someone else's channel list you need to alter these settings to your own.

53.4N and 2.84W, negative longitude readings = West, positive = East. Are you using Usals, to drive your motor, or Diseqc 1.2?
What motor, make/model, do you have, and what size dish?

If using Usals go into the Spiderbox menu, Motor Set up, and if using Usals check you have 002.8W and 53.4N, if not press the green button and enter the correct co-ordinates, unless your dish is now moving to the satellite selected.
