hello ,

Can someone please put me out of my misery. i had the no CA Found error on my dm800 hd clone. i used a Null Modem to get the box to give me an I.P address. i then typed that into my mozilla browser to get onto the web interface. i clicked update firmware, then waited at least 3 mins. clicked browse and added my nabilo black hole NFI file.. the problem im having is when i click the FLASH button nothing happens any ideas PLEASE , is my box fixable?

Sure, but You need to find out what SLL You have, some of the omages will not work properly
If it is a 2.x system there is always a way around

Reflash should work in most cases.

Always best to just flash a base image of your original BL using this method. If it doesn't work then it's either the wrong image or the SIM card may be fooked.

Don't try to get it out to clean it unless you absolutely know how to coz you'll end up breaking the holder and buying a new box if you get it wrong.

At least you seem to be getting some life out of it which is more than I could when mine died last year.

There is a forum that specialised in "Dreambox made in China" where you can find loads of tools and howto's. All you need to do is google.

yes its sim 2.1 with BL 84 i took it out carefully and cleaned it. ill try a base image if i can remember what it was,, i changed it and put the black hole image on and it was working fine not one problem then this happened. any advice is much appreciated .

if you use the rs232 (nul modem) to flash the box, it won't work with the web interface !
You just need a clone version of the dreamup tool to reflash the box .

Dont use firefox matey...Always IE when flashing..ssl84b for clones attached..then most new images should have the patched ssl in already so you should be able to flash straight away..try the open pli by gjstrrom..Fantastic image and just flash & boot..Look

sorry if im missing this totally, but i cant get an ip address on the front display without using a null modem. if i hold power button down then turn off and on i still get error.
any advice much appreciated cheers

he's only using null modem to force the box to give an ip..Its the quickest way to do it..box should be back up and running in 10-15 mins..

right..You are doing the right thing by connecting null cable and getting the box to show an ip..When the box shows an ip..quickly launch IE and flash the ssl84B i have attached..Then box should be flashable as normal..Disconnect from null cable...plug box back in holding the power button and then tyoe the new ip in IE and flash an image..voila...lol

ive just got onto using firefox and i remember the last time i flashed the box with black hole i was using IE. never dawned on me.!!!!!!!! im back home in just over a week ill try out what your saying.

hi there i did exactly what you said and used sunray flash up instead of dream up. i had more luck in connecting to the box. also used IE instead of FIREFOX like you said which was one of the problems. just now got to reset the box with my info which is something im looking forward to. im now using VU+DUO box from GOLDWAFERS. so my memory is a bit rusty.
sorry for not getting back with a response but was away from home longer than the 2 weeks i thought. MANY THANKS MY HEADACHES GONE CHEERS
