can anyone tell why this receiver is over a thousand pounds please,
i noticed it on ***y and wondered if it was an error

You often see things on that site priced x2 what you would pay new on the high street. Don't know whether they are taking a punt on some mug purchasing, who can't be bothered to google the product or whether there is some tax or site scam related to unsold goods.

probably the seller has sold privately for a price he is happy with and has upped the price so that no one in thei'r right mind would bid for it, this way the seller would avoid having a chunk of the sold price taken by the sales site.
